2C have settled in to their first week back of summer term. They were very excited to be back in school. In English this week, the children independently completed a character description of a monster. They also started a new text called, Jack’s Great Escape based on the book, Jack and the Beanstalk. The children have been creating and learning actions to help them remember the text.

In our Maths lessons, we have been continuing our learning journey discovering fractions. The children have been exploring wholes and finding a whole. We have also been learning about unit fractions such as ¼ and non-unit fractions such as 2/3. We will be moving onto look at recognising the equivalence of a half and two quarters nextweek.

In Science, we have been exploring different types of plant seeds. We have planted some ‘seeds of wonder’. The pupils are excited to see what plant starts to grow!
